We recently made our way down to Round Top, Texas, for their annual fall antique show. Round Top is a tiny little town between Austin and Houston. And during Antiques Week, the town explodes with antique dealers, shoppers, and designers. Imagine driving through the Texas hill country, on a two-lane road, and this 10-mile or so stretch of highway is bustling. All you can see are the tops of white tents stretching across the fields. Barns are open and full of furniture. Shipping containers from Germany and France and the DRC have all been unloaded and shopping has begun. Round Top might be my favorite place in Texas, and I really truly mean that.
I wanna give a shoutout to our pal From 6th Collective for bringing us along! Antique Weekend always gives us a fresh perspective on what we’re doing at The NAT in Amarillo, and gives us so much inspiration for everything we do here in Amarillo.
